Donor Information

You can turn an obligation into an opportunity.

If you are an individual or business that pays income tax in Georgia, the Georgia Qualified Education Expense (QEE) Tax Credit lets you decide where some of your taxes are spent!

Every tax dollar you redirect through Learning to Serve (LTS) comes back to you as a Georgia income tax credit. There is no net cost to participate. This is not a donation — it is a strategic allocation of dollars you were already committed to spending.

LTS allows you to designate funds to a specific school or allocate them into our general fund to help where it’s most needed.

Since 2009, LTS has awarded more than $10 million in scholarships for service to thousands of Georgia students. Every recipient earns their award through community service. This is not charity — it is an investment in students who are demonstrating strong character.

LTS allows businesses to direct your taxes to the populations that align with your brand values and community commitments. You can also designate funds to a specific school, industry (such as families in the agricultural industry, etc.) or population (such as fostering/adoptive families, veterans, etc.). In return, we will recognize your business publicly for your contribution. You can also check with your tax preparer, as some businesses can receive a federal income tax deduction from participation.

Here’s how to help.

There are different levels of contribution, based on how you file your taxes.

Single Filer $2,500
Married Separate Filer $2,500
Married Joint Filer $5,000
Individual Pass-Through Owner $25,000
C Corp, Trust, or Electing Pass-Through 75% of annual tax liability
Business that pays insurance premium tax 75% of annual tax liability, but credit shall not exceed $1 million
